September 6, 2002....news from around PIBNA...well, we're back in town..here's outcome of our trip to Hamilton...first of all, I'd like to thank the volunteers for doing such a great job..and they have made our trip enjoyable and comfortable for our athletes and the rest of the group....again, Thank you.
Our 15 yr old boys made it to the Finals again for the 3rd time - but this time, it was a team from Chicago who deprived us of taking home the Championship trophy - our boys only lost by a 'POINT'..yep, just a point...but they've done a helluva job...considering we just started this program about 4 years ago....congrats boys...our 18 yr olds made it to the quaterfinals - but (again) lost by a point...5'10 fellows won 2 games and made it to the quarterfinals just a short of few points for the semis..Open Division team were matched up against the eventual finalist and Champion of the tournament (Michigan and Virginia)hence, depriving our boys a chance to compete in the playoffs..our Seniors team played against 'not-too-senior' teams, and the 13 yr old came close to making the playoffs (there were 6 new players in the roster). Good luck in New Jersey (2003) guys!!!
